I tried to drive my car to the top, but the road is pretty steep and slick in one spot so my car can’t go any farther. I think no one could go with me. I had planned to go out early, but didn’t get that done. I left Boise around 4pm and would have gotten there around 5:30. I started hiking up to the fire lookout to give my parents a call and I think I got there before dark, but it was probably dark by the time I got back to my car. I slept in the back of my station wagon in a sleeping bag. When I got up in the morning, the slush on the road had frozen and the road was even more slick then in the evening.
I had a AWD Subaru Legacy Brighton.
