Driving Directions

Get on Washington Street heading north through Emmett. Keep heading north. The road will turn to the right to head to Black Canyon Dam. Keep heading north. Just before the road turns to gravel take a right onto Butte Road. There will be a dirt road through an opening in the barb-wire fence on the left. Turn onto that road. If you find yourself pointed south back to Emmett, you've missed this turn. You'll drive up a valley on the north side of the slope. Check out the Fire lookout and then start hiking.
